Central Florida Wedding Cost: A Real 2026 Breakdown
Most articles on this topic hand you a national average and stop. That figure helps almost nobody. After all, a Saturday in Orlando and a Thursday in Lake County are not the same purchase.
So here is an honest Central Florida wedding cost breakdown for 2026, built line by line.
The Short Answer
For 100 guests, most couples land between $18,000 and $38,000 all in.
That range is wide on purpose. Yet the spread is not random. Four decisions drive nearly all of it, and we will get to those. Couples who make them deliberately often finish under $20,000 without the day feeling thin.
Where the Money Actually Goes
Venue rental — $1,500 to $9,000.
The most variable line by far. Resort properties sit at the top, while Lake County sits well below.
Catering and bar — $16 to $150 per guest.
Your largest expense at almost any count. Lake County caterers generally start near $16 per person for food, while full-service catering with bar lands between
$55 and $150. Buffet beats plated, and beer-and-wine beats full open bar.
Photography — $1,500 to $6,000.
Full-day coverage starts around $1,500 to $2,000 locally. Still, do not cut aggressively here, because it is the only vendor whose work survives twenty years.
Videography — $1,800 to $4,500.
Florals and decor — $2,000 to $8,000. This line depends enormously on your venue. A blank white room needs $8,000 to feel finished. A room with real architecture needs a fraction.
DJ or band — $600 to $6,000.
Standard DJ packages start near $600, and many include uplighting. A DJ handles 100 guests well, whereas a live band is a want.
Cake and desserts — $500 to $1,500.
Attire, hair, and makeup — $2,000 to $6,000.
Coordinator — $500 to $8,000.
This category has the widest range of any vendor. Day-of coordination can run as low as $500, while full planning reaches $8,000.
Stationery and signage — $500 to $2,000.
License and officiant — $120 to $900.
Florida sets license rules statewide, so you apply through the clerk in the county where you reside. Lake County residents can confirm current amounts with the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Officiant cost varies widely, although any licensed Florida notary can legally marry you and may charge no more than $20.
Insurance and rentals — $300 to $2,500.
This line explodes when your venue includes nothing. Renting 100 chairs, 18 tables, and linens alone runs $1,500 to $2,500.
Four Decisions That Move Your Central Florida Wedding Cost
Everything above is the menu. These four levers control your Central Florida wedding cost more than any other choice.
Your Date
This lever is the biggest, and pulling it costs nothing.
At The Legacy at Church Hill Center, a 6-hour Monday block runs $1,650. The identical space on Saturday runs $3,600. Friday and Sunday land between at $2,850. Same building, same staff, same inclusions — yet a $1,950 swing based purely on the calendar.
Season stacks on top. October through April is peak here. Summer brings heat and rain, but it also brings negotiating room across every category.
Your Guest Count
Catering, bar, rentals, favors, and cake all scale per head. Cutting 100 guests to 70 typically saves $4,000 to $6,000.
There is a second effect people miss. A smaller count unlocks venues with lower capacity, which are frequently more characterful and less expensive.
Whether the Venue Controls Your Vendors
Here is where couples quietly overpay.
Exclusive-catering venues set a minimum you cannot negotiate. If a property requires in-house catering at $110 per guest, your 100-person wedding starts at $11,000 before a tasting.
Open-vendor venues let you shop instead. We allow outside vendors with no catering restrictions, although caterers must be licensed and insured and bar service needs a professional bartender. A large kitchen adjoins the Centennial Reception Hall for prep. Full policies sit on our FAQ page.

Every booking includes both getting-ready rooms, which matters because many couples pick a venue specifically to get ready there. The bridal suite and groom’s quarters come with the block. You also get twelve 6-foot rounds and six 6-foot rectangles with linens, ivory or black for the rectangles, plus three cocktail tables, chairs, gold arches, easels, AV equipment, an onsite venue manager, and 1.5 hours of rehearsal. In addition, it covers the entire property. That means the Heirloom Chapel, the reception hall, the Lineage Lounge, and the Palms Patio, with no room fees. Stage, A/V, and sound come included too.
So a $2,200 rental requiring $2,000 in furniture and a $500 second-room fee is really a $4,700 rental.

Notice what is missing. No chair rental, no table rental, no linen rental, and no second-room fee. The venue choice absorbed all four.
Where to Cut and Where to Hold
Cut: favors, a live band, elaborate draping, printed programs, and late-night food. Guests forget these.
Hold: photography, catering quality, and coordination. These three decide whether the day runs well and whether you can revisit it later.
Reconsider: the Saturday date. It is the least painful thousand dollars you will ever save.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the average Central Florida wedding cost for 100 guests?
Most couples spend $18,000 to $38,000. Careful choices around date, guest count, and vendor freedom regularly bring that under $20,000.
Which single change lowers Central Florida wedding cost the most?
Moving off Saturday. The same room, staff, and inclusions can swing nearly $2,000 between a Monday and a Saturday booking.
Does a smaller guest count really save money?
Yes, because catering, bar, rentals, and stationery all scale per head. Dropping from 100 to 70 guests typically saves $4,000 to $6,000.
Is summer cheaper in Central Florida?
Generally yes. Heat and daily storms suppress demand, so vendors negotiate more freely, although you will want a venue with a genuine indoor backup.
How much should I budget for the marriage license?
It is a modest fixed cost, and a state-registered premarital course reduces it further. Florida applies the same rules statewide, although you apply in the county where you reside.
